Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center

In 2023, the nonprofit Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center, Inc., was formed to foster the goals of the Schine Memorial Hall, LLC. 

Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center is focused on creating a museum showcasing local culture, arts and industry along with an artists cooperative work space. The Center is the only space of its kind in Gloversville and will allow for a symbiosis with existing cultural organizations, small artisan businesses, and an increased focus on arts and culture traffic in downtown. 

The “Enrich Schine Memorial Hall Arts Initiative” is championed by the Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center and includes a $411,000 renovation of which $346,000 will be covered by a New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant and $65,000 pledged by Schine Memorial Hall, LLC.  Memorial Hall Cultural & Arts Center will operated via additional grants, programming, and donations. 

The project began in 2023 with construction design and cost estimation. Construction began July 2024 and is expected to be completed by early 2025.
